This new EDA award will enable the Connecticut SMME to stay remotely operational during epidemic and other disasters using our SOE CSMC as the main enabler. The UConn SMCS will provide SMME with access to the Product Lifecycle digital technologies and remote rapid prototyping needed to be flexible and competitive during the quickly changing and uncertain environment created in times of emergency. The CMSC facility will act as the “digital Twin” of the factory.
